Mrs hinch fans reveal best way to remove rust from towel radiator

Mrs Hinch rose to fame after posting cleaning tips and tricks onto her social media. More recently, fans of the guru have taken to their own cleaning Facebook pages where they share hacks

with one another. Posting to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips page, one woman wanted to find out what the best way was to clean her towel radiator in the bathroom. Towel radiators can be a

breeding ground for bacteria and germs to grow due to the moisture provided from a wet towel.  White vinegar is cheap, versatile and can be used to clean many items in the home. Vinegar is

very acidic which is what makes it such a great homemade cleaning product to remove grime and rust.  You can use it straight or add a small amount of lemon juice into it which will help

disguise the smell and rub it onto the radiator with a cloth. Many comments suggested trying using one of Mrs Hinch’s favourite cleaning cloths rather than an ordinary microfibre or scourer.

how using The Pink Stuff paste can help target the rust and remove it with ease. The cleaning fanatic wrote: “I just use pink stuff to clean and if it needs I just polish it off with a

window cleaner.” The Pink Stuff is a thick cleaning paste which can be used by adding an ample amount to a cloth or sponge and then rubbing it into the desired surface.  It can be rinsed off

with cold water or wipes off with a cleaning cloth. A towel radiator may also then need to be polished with a dry cloth if it is made from stainless steel.  This product can be picked up

for as little as 89p in shops like B&M and Home Bargains.  One woman explained an unusual hack and shared how using tomato sauce and tinfoil may help to remove rust. She adds the tomato

sauce to the rusty areas and then leaves it on for around five minutes before rinsing it off with water and a small amount of kitchen roll to reveal a sparkling radiator.
