Melania Trump, 48, and her US President husband Donald Trump, 72, have been sharing a number of glimpses into the White House ahead of the festive season, showing off the decorations Melania

picked out. As the couple celebrate their third Christmas in the White House, they will likely be surrounded by family – as Donald is a dad of five. The family have had an extremely busy

year, with Melania even giving an interview on her own earlier this month to publicly praise her husband. But after such a jam-packed year, how will they be spending Christmas? Melania

Trump, 48, and Donald Trump, 72, have enjoyed plenty of travelling over the last year, both for work and pleasure. As well as flying to destinations such as Asia and Africa for state

business, the couple have also taken time out of their busy schedules to spend downtime at their private retreat in Florida. While the US President and First Lady have the option of spending

Christmas Day wherever they want in the world - with easy access to their private jet, Air Force One - sources have revealed they’ll be keeping with tradition and spending the festive

season returning to The Sunshine State. Their impressive getaway located in Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach, Florida boasts 126 rooms and a members-only club with guests rooms and a spa. An insider

report by HollywoodLife revealed Melania and Donald’s Christmas Day whereabouts. They disclosed their entire family would be there to celebrate, including all of Donald’s children and

grandchildren and the First Lady’s parents. As the couple appear to like keeping within tradition, it’s also likely that within their Christmas plans they will attend midnight mass. The

source said: “Donald and Melania always go to midnight mass, so they will definitely be dong it again this year, as Melania finds it the perfect start to Christmas and she is big on

tradition. “Melania has also worked hard with the kitchen staff to devise a healthy but tasty menu for dinner, and she is thrilled with the end result.” When it comes to presents, the report

revealed Melania is yet to buy her husband a gift this year. It said it’s not often the coulee exchange Christmas presents, particularly because the First Lady thinks the US President is

very difficult to shop for. The couple reside at the White House, Washington DC, in order to fulfil their presidential duties. But they made sure to kick off the festive season in style - at

the end of November, intimate pictures revealed the lavish Christmas decorations inside the President’s residence. The White House was shown to have not just one, but a whopping 70

Christmas trees, including red ones. Each year, a different theme for Christmas in the White House is chosen. In 2017, Melania designed the decorations around ‘Time Honoured Traditions’.

This year’s theme came under the title ‘American Treasures’. There are 40 topiary trees made form cranberries and red berries, 14,000 red ornaments hanging on 29 trees, and the official

White House Christmas tree is adorned with embroidered blue velvet ribbon. In a statement, Melania said: “This is a joyous time of year when we decorate the White House for the Christmas

Season. “Our theme honoured the heart and spirit of the American people. Thank you to the many volunteers and staff who worked hard to decorate the halls of the People’s House in Christmas

cheer. “On behalf of my family, we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas an a Happy New Year.”
