BMW has confirmed its iX3 will start from just over £45,000 (399,900 yuan) in a drop of around 15 percent from its original value last September. The German car firm has also cut the price
of a higher-end version of the iX3 by almost £8,000 (70,100 yuan). The cost reduction is in direct response to Tesla's 30 percent reduction on its Model Y earlier this year. Tesla
dropped prices to just £39,454 (339,900 yuan) according to reports from Chinese media. Chinese new electric start-up Nio is currently selling its new model from just over £40,500 (358,000)
making it one of the more expensive models on the market. Tu Lee from advisory firm Sino Auto Insights said BMW’s new iX3 will be “competing directly” against the Tesla and Nio. READ MORE:

safety steering and lane control, emergency stop tools, cruise control and speed limit assist technology. The new iX3 is available for pre-order now with the first customers expected to
receive their vehicles from the summer of 2021.
