OVERWATCH FANS ARE ABLE TO PLAY THE NEW BLIZZARD WORLD MAP ON THE PTR, WITH IT LANDING JUST BEFORE THE CHRISTMAS EVENT 2017 STARTS. The Overwatch PTR was updated today with a new map that

many fans will be looking forward to. While Moira stole the show during Blizzcon 2017, the development team also revealed a new map coming to the game. Blizzard World is the next big update

for the popular shooter, and it's taken its first steps toward release. Today saw Blizzard World launched on the Overwatch PTR, the testing servers where the development team will be

looking to worm out the worst bugs. Blizzard World will also be different from the current maps available in the game as it will include hybrid gameplay. “An amusement park celebrating the

universes of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo, Blizzard World is a brand-new hybrid Assault/Escort map,” the official description explains.  “Charge the gates of Stormwind, sneak through the

Nexus Experience, and guide the payload through areas filled with high ground, flanking routes, and environmental hazards.  “Grab some Blizzard-inspired snacks at the concession stand along

the way!” The new Blizzard World map has landed on the PTR ahead of the Overwatch Christmas event 2017. Last year the Overwatch Winter Wonderland Christmas event kicked off on December 13

and ended on January 2. It remains to be seen if Blizzard will start this year’s Overwatch Christmas event around the similar time or if Winter Wonderland will arrive earlier this year. Fans

however are already getting excited about it, with Overwatch players taking to Twitter to start the hype train rolling. One fan tweeted recently: “I know we aren't even to Thanksgiving

yet, but I am overly excited for some Christmas @PlayOverwatch skins.” While another posted: “@PlayOverwatch please come out with a d.va christmas skin so me n my best friend can match as

sombra and d.va”. And one added: “@PlayOverwatch Can't believe it has been almost a year already. I look forward to a new Christmas event.”
