Having launched Metal Gear Online earlier this week, Konami have confirmed that they will be prioritising its running over other planned events scheduled by the company. "We had a
giveaway planned today to celebrate the launch, however we are currently prioritizing any gameplay concerns among players today," the official MGO support team confirmed. "So
we'll be postponing the giveaway to later this week when we have a chance to clear up some of the concerns players may be seeing in game. "We appreciate everyone's patience,
and hope that most of you are enjoying Metal Gear Online while we continue to work with the feedback." The game's launch did see some patchy connections for fans which is usual for
a big launch that can see servers go offline due to sheer demand. Konami recently told fans that there was more to come from the Phantom Pain, although it wasn't clear if they were
referencing Metal Gear Solid 5's story campaign or Online options.
