As James Bond fans await Daniel Craig’s decision on whether he will return for a fifth outing as 007, other actors have revealed they’d like to play the iconic spy.

While Spider-Man star Tom Holland expressed interest, the latest to throw his hat into the ring is Pirates star Orlando Bloom.

The 40-year-old actor was recently interviewed by the BBC for his new action film Unlocked and revealed what his Bond would be like if cast.

He said: “I think a bit of that kind of very English, but that sort of twinkle with the muscular dynamic.

“I’m sure they’ll do more with Daniel and who knows where they’ll go with that but the franchise is a fabric of our society…and it’s something that people relate and laugh and enjoy.

“[It’s] a little bit of who Jack [Sparrow] is. That sort of wink and twinkle behind the eyes is what I saw in both Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

“I love what Daniel Craig did…[being] muscular and dynamic. I think there’s a combination of all of that, that is really interesting.”

Bloom will next return to his role of Will Turner in the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film, arriving 10 years after his last appearance as the character in At World’s End.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge is released in UK on May 26, 2017.
