After some debate among the females in our household, we persuaded Richard to tweet his followers on the internet, asking simply who is hottest; Tennant or Simm.


For the record, despite Simm pulling in a lot of support, Tennant was ahead by a nose. and did you see him as Hamlet a few nights later? a scorching performance, wasn’t it? Hamlet has always


been my favourite Shakespeare play but I’d forgotten it contains quite so many extraordinarily penetrating psychological insights.

Tennant and a fine cast made the most of it but my God we were emotionally wrung out when it finished. Had to watch Love actually as an antidote.
