Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Boots have issued an urgent product recall for two items that could potentially cause abdominal discomfort, headaches, and brain fog. Customers who have purchased

Myprotein Gooey Filled Cookie Double Chocolate & Caramel are being alerted to potential health hazards, reports the Express. The product, available in two sizes, contains an undeclared

wheat protein which could be harmful to those with wheat or gluten allergies or intolerances, including coeliac disease. A statement from the Food Standards Agency advised: "If you have

bought the above product and have coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was purchased for a full

refund." The recall pertains to Myprotein Gooey Filled Cookie - Double Chocolate & Caramel in 75g (Single Cookie) and 12 x 75g (box of 12) packs. These products bear the best before

dates June 17, 2025, and July 16, 2026. All batch codes are included in the recall, with the barcode 505610458721. The notice further stated that the undeclared wheat protein was "in

an ingredient supplied for the manufacture of this cookie" Due to this labelling error, the cookies could pose a health risk to anyone with coeliac disease or an allergy or intolerance

to wheat or gluten. It is estimated that around half a million people in the UK live with coeliac disease, an autoimmune disorder triggered by gluten. In rare instances, allergies to wheat

or gluten can provoke a potentially fatal reaction, with symptoms typically starting within minutes of consuming the food. THG Nutrition Limited, the manufacturer of the product, has reached

out to pertinent allergy support organisations to notify their members.
