BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty endured excruciating pain after a theatre visit, finding herself immobilised in bed and unable to seek help. Her husband, Channel 5's Creative
Director James Haggar, was compelled to dial 999 as he couldn't drive her to the hospital due to recent alcohol consumption, reports the Express. Naga disclosed to Saga magazine the
urgent message her husband relayed to emergency services: "She cannot move." She was later diagnosed by a gynaecologist with adenomyosis, which causes the uterus lining to grow
into the muscle wall. The NHS notes that while some individuals may not exhibit symptoms, others can suffer severe pelvic pain and heavy periods. Speaking to Saga, she reflected on the
timing of sharing health struggles with partners: "I'm very lucky because you have to pick your moments with partners to tell them about everything you go through - you don't
want to do it on the first date or the first time you sleep together." She highlighted the lack of education on women's health issues, saying, "Many of the women I speak to
have wonderful husbands, but they'd had to learn as adults about what their partners were going through, because we're not taught any of it in school." Furthermore, Naga
revealed her decision to undergo surgical sterilisation, a choice made in agreement with her husband as they decided early on not to have children. The television star opened up about
enjoying the lifestyle she shares with her husband and mentioned that her mother eventually came to understand her decision. She later decided to have the coil removed, but as the BBC Radio
5 Live presenter was certain she didn't want children, she opted for sterilisation in her mid-40s. _GET ALL THE LATEST CELEBRITY AND TV NEWS STRAIGHT TO YOUR INBOX BY_ _ SIGNING UP TO
