A new newsletter, ushering in a new way of presenting the news, is coming to Sheffield. Titled the Sheffield Drop, the email and online newsletter will highlight the very best news across

the Steel City, regardless of the source. Edited by Sheffield reporter Andrew Dowdeswell, the free bulletin will have no adverts and feature the city's most important news, all curated

in an easy-to-read, digestible format. It will also include a community noticeboard, the most exciting cultural news and events, personal anecdotes, and a community of Sheffield people

reading and talking about their city. The digest will be published three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The first edition will be published on Friday May 30. It will

respect subscribers' time and showcase the news you need to know quickly and efficiently. WHY ARE WE LAUNCHING THE SHEFFIELD DROP? Well, quite frankly, there is a lot of wonderful local

news in Sheffield that often goes missing. Several publications and platforms are doing excellent work, and we want to celebrate the best journalism in this city. We will curate the biggest

and best stories around the city, providing a quick synopsis of the stories and direct links if you want to read any further. The newsletter will be a one-stop shop for all your Sheffield

news. You will have the chance to join a community of like-minded Sheffielders who love this city and care about its development, life and news. Andrew is a born-and-bred Sheffielder. As a

journalist of 10 years, he is extremely excited about the project. He said: "I believe Sheffield journalism should be celebrating one another, not competing with each other. There are

lots of amazing and important stories that often don't get seen or read because they are buried by competitors, gnarly Google search engines or sometimes annoying pop-up ads. "I

want to bring a new form of journalism to this city, curating the very best our industry has to offer. The newsletter will include links to all our stories, no matter where they come from,

and I hope it provides a community for Sheffield folk to get to know their city and their journalists a little better. "There is plenty that goes on in Sheffield that is missed. I want

to try and change that, and I believe the Sheffield Drop is a part of the solution. If you would like to see better coverage of Sheffield that picks out the relevant stories and strips away

what isn't, why not join us on this journey?" WHERE CAN I READ THE SHEFFIELD DROP? You can read the Sheffield Drop in two places - on our website, here, or delivered straight to

your email inbox by subscribing using this link. The content works perfectly on your phone, and is ideal with your morning coffee and slice of toast. No more doom scrolling on social media,

wading through Google search engines or reading stories that don't matter. Quick, easy, convenient and clean, it is the ideal way to get a quick digest of the latest Sheffield news.
