Hobart, was thrown from a sea biscuit onto the shore about 2pm Sunday afternoon.


He was treated at scene before being airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Royal Hobart Hospital, but later died.

"Our thoughts are with Archie's family and loved ones at this difficult time," they said.


Investigations into the incident continue and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
