Of Fame trainer Ted Medhurst is confident that the My Bro Fabio - Broadway Miss chaser has progressed well but will need luck to cross from the horrid draw of box 8.

"Raging Ralston is a talented chaser who has done everything right to get this far," Medhurst said.

"His trials around Launceston show he will handle the trip and you head into a race like this knowing the dog has the ability.

"It will be down to pure luck and confidence that the dog gets all the favours coming from out wide."

Roger Bloomfield heads the Kane It Syndicate that races the black chaser who has won seven races in a row since tasting his only defeat at Devonport in June.

The Mangalore-based kennel could quinella the race with Mr Camacho from box five.

J.G Nelson Cup runner-up Connected returns to Mowbray shooting for four-straight wins in the eighth event, jumping from box 5.

"Connected is another great chaser and I expect a forward display," said Medhurst.

"This dog has broken 30 seconds at his first look at Launceston and was stiff when running second to Strada in the Nelson Cup.

"He displays good manners from box rise and I do expect him to be a lot better with experience."

Short-course sprinters Pamplona (box 5) for Anthony Bullock and Zora's Fountain (box 1) for Eileen Thomas look set to produce an interesting two-dog battle in the fourth race.
