votes was enough to see Smith take the Kangaroos’ top honour from young ruckman Jarrod Scott, who finished on 76.

Midfielder Jacob Wauchope was next back in third, while Crowden finished in sixth spot with 51 votes.

Smith played all 16 games this season for a return of eight goals, and was his side’s best performer in a round two win over George Town and last month’s big loss to Longford.

In division 2, Old Launcestonians midfielder Chae Evans took out the Blues’ award for the second year running and the third time in four years.

Evans fought off strong competition from Will Archer and Matthew Murfett.

Jarrah Burns was named Bridport’s best and fairest, with four best-on-ground efforts helping ex-Bracknell stalwart Josh Nunn to a close second.
