bit as stellar as the weekend’s autumn weather, the East Launceston duo made the most of five free turns to knock out Ruth McKean and Lee Turner 7-5, 7-6.
Earlier, Von See and Richards had reached the final at the Northern Tasmania Croquet Centre by recording a 7-2, 7-6 victory over a Queensland duo led by Elaine Rubuck.
McKean and Turner made the decider on the back of a tightly-fought semi-final against fellow East Launcestonians Pam and Robin Claxton, where they snagged a 7-5, 7-6 win.
Players will now turn their attention to the state championships which will be held across two venues between April 13 and 15.
The women’s event will take place at the Northern Tasmania Croquet Centre, while the men’s championships will be hosted by the Kingston Croquet Club in the state’s South.
The state championships will be followed by the Hi-Lo doubles at Latrobe between April 20 and 22.
