application lodged with the City of Launceston said the expansion would take the total number of beds from 130 to 142.

To accommodate the beds an additional storey to a portion of the central wing,

The ground floor of the facility will be extended and will have the capacity for 16 high care beds, upstairs will hold the 12 beds and a dining area.

Extensive redevelopments at the site were approved in 2014, but that was only to the 130 bed total.

None of the car parking spaces or overall layout is being advertised to change.
