about 6pm on Friday, September 2, a male person entered the Wivenhoe IGA with a weapon and demanded money from staff.
The man allegedly made off with a sum of cash in a red Holden ute.
At 7pm police located a 47-year old Burnie man at Sulphur Creek and he was due to appear in an out of hours court session in Burnie on Saturday.
Police are calling for anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Burnie Police station on 6230 2111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
