have helped organise the barbecue as a chance to let people affected by the floods a chance to let everything go and have some fun.
“It can be lonely on the road to recovery with things like floods, so we thought it would be good to do a get together, where people can come along and have a beer and some food and relax,”
Roberts business development manager Helen Hume said.
“The staff on the North-West have been heavily involved with the farming community, to help find and rehome stock, so it was their idea to do a bit of a get-together.”
The barbecue will be free to all members of the community. Ms Hume said Roberts had been working hard to help their customers following the floods, with staff on the North-West and North
opening the Quoiba and Powranna saleyards to assist with locating stock displaced by the floodwaters. Roberts has also been working with community aid organisation Blazeaid, getting clients
access to cheaper fencing materials to get them back on their feet.
The community barbecue will be held on August 3 at the Spreyton Football Club from 4.30-8.30pm. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP for catering purposes. To RSVP contact Roberts Launceston on
6391 6555.
