England started off their pool games strong with 4-3 win against South Africa, a 15-0 win against Sir Lanka, a 3-2 win against Spain and a 5-0 win against Ghana. This put them at the top of


the group and saw them playing Ireland in the semi-final. After a thrilling 2-2 draw, there was an intense shoot-out where England won 6-5. For the Gold Medal game England faced South Africa


once again, where after a no-scoring first half, England scored in the second half, giving them the gold medal at the World Cup 2022. The Women over 35s team had a very strong performance


at the pool stage of the competition, beating fellow home nations teams Wales 3-1, and Scotland 12-0, as well as beating France 10-0, Argentina 6-1, and India 19-0. This put them at the top


of their pool group, which saw them play Ireland in the final and after a thrilling 2-1 win, England retained their title and became double world champions. England’s over 40 Women had an


excellent start to the competition with a clean sweep beating Scotland 6-0, Ghana 10-0, America 7-0, Germany 3-0 and Sri Lanka 22-0, which put them at the top of their pool. After a tense,


no-scoring first half, England beat Argentina 2-0 in the final, securing their gold medal and England’s third gold medal of the competition. Another successful start for England’s Men’s Over


40s side. With a 5-0 win against Wales, a 12-0 win against Sir Lanka, a 4-0 win against Ireland, a 2-0 win against Germany, a 4-1 win against France and a 6-1 win against South Africa. This


put them at the top of the table, where they played a strong Australian side, and after a 2-2 draw at the end of 60 minutes, the men saw them in a shout-out, where England came out on top


and beat Australia 3-1, and retained their title of world champions, and gave England their 4th and final gold medal of the competition.
