Bowdon women started life as Hightown and joined the Bowdon club 20 seasons ago. They have a long history of success and are a powerhouse of North hockey. They boast a waterbased pitch


alongside an iconic clubhouse they share with the sports’ club’s cricket section.  The team, in its various guises, has a proud tradition in indoor hockey with twelve national titles. FACTS


AND FIGURES Formed out of a merger between Clifton women and Robinsons men in 2016, the Bristol based club have long been the pre-eminent hockey club in the West with home games played at


Clifton College. Founder members of the league in 1989 they have only spent one season outside of the top flight since then, the best record of any men’s or women’s club. They also have five


national cup wins to their name. FACTS AND FIGURES Based in West Sussex, the club was founded in 1897 and joined their men in the top flight nine seasons ago.  They are great proponents of


the indoor game with three national indoor championships. The club’s home is East Grinstead Sports Club in Saint Hill where they have established a great tradition for well hosted home


matches.  FACTS AND FIGURES Based at Paddington Recreation Ground, Hampstead & Westminster is London’s most central club with close to 1000 members from Under 6s to Over 60s. Their


clubhouse base is the historic Carlton Tavern famously rebuilt in 2021. The club are one of only three with teams in both genders of the Premier Division plus 2nd XIs playing at other levels


in  the league. FACTS AND FIGURES Holcombe hail from Rochester Kent and their Curtis Way ground has two all-weather artificial grass hockey pitches with the show pitch alongside a


well-appointed clubhouse. They are very much a family club and proud to celebrate the success of their England Masters internationals alongside those with senior international honours. FACTS


AND FIGURES Loughborough were the first student based club to join the women’s league some thirty seasons ago and have seen many international players play at the University and its


predecessor Loughborough Colleges They play their home games on the University campus which also hosts a number of other elite sports. FACTS AND FIGURES Reading’s history dates back to 1904


and their Sonning Lane ground has hosted domestic finals and international matches. They are a club with over 1000 members with players from Under 6s to Over 70s  FACTS AND FIGURES Surbiton


have been the dominant force in womens hockey over the past decade and has two men’s and two women’s teams in the England Hockey League, their 2nd XI winning Division One South in 2023/24


but not able to play in the top flight . In recent years they have developed and improved their Sugden Road ground where the last two EHL finals have been held, the EuroHockey Club Cup was

were founder members of the women's league in 1989 and have unbroken membership of the league since then and at the forefront of women’s hockey in the Midlands. Their Wyndley Leisure


Centre home was the training venue for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022. FACTS AND FIGURES Birmingham has a rich tradition in hockey in both student sport and the national league


and has two men’s and two women’s teams playing in the league. They play at Bournbrook under the gaze of the iconic Joseph Chamberlain Memorial Clock Tower. Their pitch hosted the 2022


Commonwealth Games hockey competition.   FACTS AND FIGURES Nottingham have risen quickly to the top flight since joining the league in 2019/20.  Outside of the league the strength of the


club in BUCS competitions has contributed to the University achieving the award as the top University in the UK for Sport in 2024. FACTS AND FIGURES The club are another founder member of
