On Thursday, Bumble's CEO informed on Social Media that the company has gone public Whitney Wolfe Herd, CEO, and Co-founder of dating app Bumble has now become a billionaire after her
company went public in the United States. With the recent feat, Whitney has become the youngest woman billionaire. On Thursday, Wolfe informed on Social Media that the company has gone
public. > Today, @Bumble becomes a public company. This is only possible > thanks to the more than 1.7 billion first moves made by brave women > on our app — and the pioneering

(@WhitWolfeHerd) February 11, 2021 “This is only possible thanks to the more than 1.7 billion first moves made by brave women on our app—and the pioneering women who paved the way for us in
the business world. To everyone who made today possible: Thank you. #BumbleIPO.” WHO IS WHITNEY WOLFE HERD? Previously, Wolfe Herd was the co-founder of Tinder. However, she left the
company in 2012 after filing a sexual harassment suit against the company. She then co-founded Bumble in 2014 with Russian billionaire Andrey Andreev. She said that the inspiration behind
creating this platform was to help women make the 'first move'. WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT BUMBLE? The app was created to build a safer environment for women who are looking for
potential partners. Unlike the other popular dating app tinder, Bumble allows women to make the first contact with men. This means that even after a male member matches with a female
member-the man cannot send a message first. This gives agency to women, and they are free to choose who they want to initiate a conversation with and stops men from flooding the opposite
gender's chatbox with annoying messages, unsolicited dick pics. However, for people choosing potential partners of the same sex, anyone can initiate a conversation. Apart from that,
the app follows the same swiping pattern as Tinder. WHICH GLOBAL SUPERSTARS ENDORSE THE APP? Global Superstar Priyanka Chopra went into partnership with Bumble as advisor and investor. “In
working with Whitney (Bumble founder) and her team over the past year, I’m inspired by the real, positive change Bumble is creating and I’m proud to have the opportunity to contribute to
this movement as a partner,” she said. The famous sports icon Serena Williams is also serving as an investor in Bumble. HOW TO DOWNLOAD BUMBLE? Go to the Google Playstore, enter Bumble in
search, and download the app. The Bumble App can also be downloaded for free in the Apple Play Store. “Bumble was created as a result of wanting something better for young women. Our team
saw firsthand just how damaging social media can be and wanted there to be an internet that was both rooted in kindness and engineered to empower women,” Priti Joshi, Bumble global director
of strategy had said in 2019.
