Former president attends The Orchid School’s science expo in city. Food for thought: Light can be bent when it passes through water mixed with antiseptic liquid as the liquid makes the water
a little murky. However, light doesn’t pass through murky water and plain water too. These and other such projects displayed by the students of standard IV and VII of The Orchid School
impressed the former president of India, APJ Abdul Kalam. He attended the expo ‘Science and Life’ on Baner Road on Thursday evening. Some 20-odd city schools attended the expo. The students
were excited to interact with Kalam as soon as he entered the auditorium. More 1,000 students present at the event expressed their desire to become scientists and engineers. Kalam said, “To
achieve the goal one must have an aim, followed by continuous acquired knowledge, hard work and perseverance. I feel that students should be unique rather than trying to be somebody else.”
