Aadmi Party (AAP) government and the bureaucracy entered its second day with the ministers pointing out the projects which have been delayed due to the 'protest' being carried out

by the IAS officers in the national Capital. Health and Power Minister Satyendar Jain went on an indefinite fast on Tuesday morning after he explained how the work at mohalla clinics has

been stalled. Jain, in his tweet on Tuesday, said "LG Sir, IAS officers stopped const of new moh clinics. Pl get it started [sic]." As per the timeline projected by the government

this year, the joint survey by the PWD and the chief medical officers should have been completed by April 30. The AAP government has managed to set up 160 mohalla clinics till December 31

this fiscal, against the target of 1,000 such facilities. "The sites that have been identified under various agencies are yet to be approved for setting up the clinics. The agencies

under which these sites come have not given us the permission. Till the time, we don't get a nod from the land owning agency, how can we start the work," said a senior official

from the health department. The Delhi government in its outcome report had alleged that the L-G has delayed the establishment of 1,000 mohalla clinics by nine months. Jain also requested the

L-G to look into the files for construction of polyclinics in the Capital. Similarly, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia claimed that the files of much talked about Signature Bridge has been lying

pending with the officers. "These officers neither come to the meeting nor go to the site visit," he said in his tweet. The bridge, which was supposed to be ready for the 2010

Commonwealth Games, has been declared a 'white elephant' by the AAP government. A budget of Rs 1,131 crore was sanctioned, but till now Rs 1,575 crore has been spent. According to

the sources, the amount spent on the construction has not yet been passed in the Cabinet. "A total of Rs 1,350 crore has already been spent in the construction work of the bridge, but

the budget has not yet been approved. We are waiting since 2016, but the proposal has not been sent to the Cabinet," said a senior PWD official. Kejriwal in his recent visit had

announced that the bridge will be completed by October this year.
