former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa gearing up to float a new political party? “Yes” says leader of the opposition in legislative assembly Siddaramaiah, predicting polls this year. Terming

Yeddyurappa’s state tour as a blackmail tactic to exert pressure on the BJP leadership for his reinstatement as chief minister, Siddaramaiah said Yeddyurappa is set to float a political

party. His moves would lead to collapse of the DV Sadananda Gowda government, thus forcing a poll, said Siddaramaiah. There is no future for the BJP in the state as it is a “totally a

divided house,” added Siddaramaiah. He denied reports of change in state Congress leadership. G Parameshwar would continue to be the president of KPCC and there was no need for his

replacement, he added. He ruled out possibilities of Congress MLAs deserting the party to join the NCP. “The differences in the Congress have been sorted out after holding talks with some

disgruntled Congress MLAs like BC Patil,” he added.
