GOOD MORNING BRITAIN VIEWERS WERE LEFT CONCERNED FOR HOSTS SUSANNA REID AND RICHARD MADELEY AS THEY SPOTTED A WORRYING CHANGE IN THEIR BEHAVIOUR 12:21, 22 May 2025 Viewers of Good Morning
Britain were quick to spot a shift in the demeanour of presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid this morning after ITV chiefs revealed plans for major cutbacks to daytime TV schedules.
Earlier this week, it came to light that ITV daytime will be having a bit of a facelift in the coming months, with big shake-ups ahead for shows including the beloved Good Morning Britain.
The lineup, starting from 6am till 1:30pm on weekdays, usually serves up a breakfast show followed by Lorraine, This Morning, and Loose Women. As of January 2026, fans of Good Morning
Britain will get an extra half-hour as the show's set to air from 6am sharp until 9.30am. Meanwhile, Lorraine Kelly will have her slot halved, broadcasting from 9.30am to a 10am finish.
Plus, she'll only grace the screen for 30 weeks per year. On days when Lorraine isn't on, Good Morning Britain will stretch its legs from 6am up till 10am. This Morning remains
put in its 10am to 12.30pm slot throughout the year, whereas Loose Women will also clock in for just 30 seasonal weeks during its usual 12.30-1.30pm period, reports the Mirror. READ MORE:

'not first incident' Sharp-eyed viewers saw a notable switch with Susanna, 54, back on the box this morning alongside Richard, 69. Hopping onto X, the haunt once known as Twitter,
fans aired their thoughts, with one saying: "Anyone else notice Susanna Reid's energy is WAY off this morning? Something is not right... #GMB #ITV." Article continues below
One viewer commented: "Susanna Reid looked like she was just going through the motions today. Where's the spark gone?? #GoodMorningBritain." Another added: "First all the
ITV shake-ups... now Susanna looks like she's about to quit live on air. I'm stressed. #GMB." One viewer noted: "Susanna Reid looking like she's aged 10 years
overnight. ITV better not be pushing her out too. "Richard Madeley looks WORRIED. And I can't say that I feel sorry for him," remarked someone else sarcastically. Meanwhile,
another ITV fan observed: "Between the weird silences and Susanna's 'I've had enough' eyes, it's clear things are NOT okay behind the scenes. What is going on
at ITV? ? #GMB"." This follows Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, said: "Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these
scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust
as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres. "These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our
national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever. I
recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off screen in our Daytime production teams." Article continues below He added: "We will work with ITV Studios and ITN as they
manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition. Daytime has been a core element of ITV's schedule for over 40 years and
these changes will set ITV up to continue to bring viewers award winning news, views and discussion as we enter our eighth decade." The expanded Good Morning Britain will boast a blend
of the latest news, insightful interviews, fiery debate and fun competitions, along with an increase in regional news coverage and a greater emphasis on investigations and analysis of the
top stories. GMB is getting kitted out by a dedicated squad within ITV News at ITN, while Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will stick with ITV Studios for their production. The
show's set to hit the screens from a shiny new venue smack in the heart of London. Over at ITV Studios, there's a buzz as the Daytime crew get ready to unite under one banner,
sharing the load and pooling their resources for the three programmes.
