FRIENDS FANS ARE BAFFLED BY THE APPARENT PLOT HOLE EXPOSED IN THE SERIES SIX EPISODE - THE ONE WITH ROSS' TEETH - BUT OTHERS BELIEVE THEY'VE FIGURED OUT WHAT'S GOING ON 09:00,

01 Jun 2025 Friends fans have been scratching their heads over a moment in series six of the beloved sitcom. The iconic show first aired in 1994 and ran for 10 seasons until it's

emotional finale in 2004. It's now been on screens for over 30 years, but it's still adored by fans around the world, and many Friends fanatics are happy to re-watch episodes over

and over again. It probably won't shock you, then, that viewers have spotted some blunders in Friends episodes over the years. For example, Rachel's necklace mysteriously appears

and disappears across cuts in one episode, and if you've watched it 20 times you'd probably start to notice it. The most recent episode to get people talking is a series six

episode, titled The One With Ross' Teeth. Fans on Reddit have been picking apart the intro of the episode, which sees all six members of the gang hanging out at Central Perk, their

favourite coffee house. Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe are all sat in their favourite spot of the New York City coffee house and wondering why their bosses don't like

them. However, Joey is quick to point out the likely reason why. Article continues below Rachel, who works for Ralph Lauren, says of her boss: "Kim will just freak out and she already

doesn't like me very much." Chandler replies: "That's weird. I don't think my boss likes me either." Ross chimes in with: "Maybe it's a universal

thing?", to which Joey says: "Or maybe, it's because you're hanging around here at 11.30am on a Wednesday." It prompts the gang to get up from their seat and hurry

off to work, with Chandler agreeing: "Yeah, let's head off to work." One fan on the Reddit page wanted to know how they could all get away with being in a coffee shop in the

middle of the week. They asked: "Okay but how do they actually do it?" The post has racked up over 2.7k upvotes from other fans who have apparently been wondering the same thing.

Some users suggested that some members of the group, such as Phoebe and Monica, could be there as they work different hours. Monica works as a chef in a restaurant and so may not be required

until the evening, and Phoebe works as a masseuse and may not have any clients at that time. One user said: "I guess it's possible Monica doesn't do the lunch shift, although

she's always around in the evening as well. "Phoebe might just not have clients scheduled at that time. I think she actually is largely freelance and only sporadically associated

with a spa. Ross [a professor in paleontology] maybe doesn't have classes or office hours at that moment." They added: "Chandler's work is so meaningless that it

doesn't actually matter if he goes in or not. No clue on Rachel." Chandler's job is a running gag in the sitcom as nobody knows what he does, but we later learn he does

"statistical analysis and data reconfiguration". However, another fan replied: "Hmm I’d think chandler and Ross would be working more hours. Coz when you’re a scientist

there’s no way you have that much free time on your hands. Unless you have assistants! And data professionals are always dealing with emergencies at work so they’re never free either! Unless

it’s not full time! When you work in fashion like Rachel does it’s not easy either!" But it seems like others believe the sitcom is poking fun at itself and breaking the fourth wall

with Joey's job jibe. One user's comment, with 85 upvotes, read: "I think this was the joke. The show is making fun of itself for being unrealistic that they are all just

hanging out like this in the middle of the day. It’s not supposed to be real." Another agreed: "I love this scene it’s kinda breaking the fourth wall because we obviously wonder

how they’re always at the coffee shop but we just accept it because it’s a show. But Joey mentioning it is so good". Article continues below HAVE YOU JOINED THREADS? FOLLOW DAILY STAR
