AFTER ONE RETAILER 'REVEALED' THE PRICE OF THE NINTENDO SWITCH 2, ANOTHER ONE HAS LISTED THE GAME FOR A RELEASE DATE THAT'S CONSIDERABLY EARLIER THAN WE ANTICIPATED 11:11, 31
Jan 2025Updated 11:11, 31 Jan 2025 Nintendo finally showed us a look at the Switch 2, but outside of what the hardware looks like we've got little to no idea about a lot else. Yesterday
saw one retailer 'leak' the price, while we've seen another suggest 3D Mario is on the way. We don't even know for sure how powerful the system will be, but one retailer
feels comfortable putting a release date on Nintendo's console. Is it a placeholder, or does the store know something we don't? In any case, the prospect of the next system
launching this early in the year is an exciting one. SWITCH 2 RELEASE DATE 'LEAKS' Finnish retailer Konsolinet has updated its listing, but before adding a placeholder date of
December 31, 2025, it had suggested that the console would arrive on May 9, 2025. That would put it just over a month after the April 2 Nintendo Direct, which is likely to reveal the games,
capabilities, and price of the system. Article continues below It's not unheard of to see that kind of quick turnaround, especially if the console is being manufactured already, and it
would certainly be perfect ahead of the Summer — who wouldn't want to play Mario Kart 9 with pals on a beach somewhere? Sadly, it's hard to get too excited, considering the
retailer has already switched the date on its listing. There's always the chance it had early information it shouldn't have revealed yet, but it's also possible it plucked the
date out of nowhere. Article continues below It follows a series of retailer 'leaks', including the reveal of the GTA 6 release date, presumably as sellers prepare stock intake
for 2025's biggest gaming releases. For more on the Switch 2, be sure to read why Donald Trump may have a big say in its pricing, or what could be the console's most violent game
if rumours are true. FOR THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS AND STORIES FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE FROM THE DAILY STAR, SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTERS.
