AUSSIE SONGSTRESS KYLIE, 57, IS QUIDS AFTER FLOGGING MORE THAN 20 MILLION BOTTLES OF HER SELF-NAMED TIPPLE IN JUST FIVE YEARS AND SHE SHOULD BE SO LUCKY DAVID O'DORNAN and JAMES CAVEN

20:59, 01 Jun 2025 Kylie Minogue has scored another UK number one - but with wine. The pop queen’s rosé is the Britain’s best-selling premium brand. A bottle of her plonk is bought every six

seconds somewhere in the world. Kylie, 57, is quids after flogging more than 20 million bottles of her self-named tipple in just five years. But the I Should Be So Lucky singer admitted she

was unsure at first whether to lend only her name to Kylie Minogue Wines (KMW). She said: “It was of no interest to me to just throw a label on a bottle. It had to be authentic and I can

proudly say that we have never veered from that. “I was really keen to learn about a new industry and have been on a tasting voyage ever since.” Kylie revealed she is so passionate about her

prosecco she visited the winery in Italy where it is made. Article continues below She gushed: “I am just so proud of how far we have come in five years, not knowing how this would be taken

or accepted within the wine industry and by consumers. “We planted a seed that took and then it was all about making sure we could really get the roots in the ground - pardon the wine puns

- and just nurture what we have.” The Australian-born star remembered the moment in 2017 when she decided to move into wine. She said: “There was a beautiful, soft amber light reflecting

through the glass and I said out loud, ‘I’d love to have my own rosé one day.’ “Three years later, I did. I had no idea what I was entering into, I just knew it felt like a good fit.” Kylie

is currently on her Tension tour of the UK performing at The O2 in London so she is sticking to her alcohol-free version. Article continues below She added: “We’d be doing shows and one of

my backing singers was breastfeeding, another had a youngster, others just don’t drink and so I really wanted KMW to include a 0% wine.”
