MUMMY PIG AND THE REST OF THE FAMILY WILL ALSO USE 5,238 BABY WIPES, TAKE 6,689 PHOTOS, AND DISH OUT 13 GIFTS TO THE NEW ARRIVAL, ACCORDING TO A STUDY OF 1,000 PARENTS CHARLOTTE MINETT

11:42, 21 May 2025Updated 11:42, 21 May 2025 Mummy Pig is bracing herself for a whirlwind first year with baby Evie, expected to plough through 5,238 baby wipes and change 3,365 nappies,

while catching a mere four hours of shut-eye each night. She's set to snap a whopping 6,689 photos of her new piglet – that's an average of 18 pics daily. Plus, she'll be

going through 1,642 breast pads, working out at nearly five a day. The Pig clan is also gearing up to unwrap 13 pressies from their nearest and dearest, alongside eight nuggets of

unsolicited advice. These figures come from a survey of 1,000 parents who've had a sprog in the past decade, now applied to everyone's favourite porcine family. A spokesperson for

Asda, which carried out the study to mark the arrival of Peppa Pig's baby sister, commented: "We want to wish the whole Pig family well as they embark on their new venture as a

family of five. "It's heartwarming to see how invested the nation is with this announcement, but I'm sure their family is the same as many others when it comes to concerns

around the cost of living - particularly with three little ones in the house." Article continues below The latest addition to the Pig household is also estimated to rack up £178 monthly

on nappies, £205 on baby garb, and £56 on wipes. Not to mention, baby formula and medicine could set them back £178 and £46 respectively every four weeks. And let's not forget about

£60 a month splurged on toys and books for Evie's noggin, as per OnePoll's numbers. Since Mummy Pig's pregnancy hit headlines in February, it's been all anyone can oink

about. Speculation was rife about the name and gender of the new addition to the family. This week, it was announced on Good Morning Britain that the baby is a girl named Evie. The first

glimpse of baby Evie was shared on air, following her 'birth' at 5:34am at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London. Article continues below A spokesperson from Asda,

which currently has a range of baby products on Rollback pricing, including nappies and baby wipes, commented: "The cost of having a young family can really add up."

"Hopefully, the Pigs will have kept some of George – or even Peppa's – baby stuff from when they were smaller, and they can use it again. No doubt Daddy Pig will be sent up to the

loft to dig out old boxes of toys, cribs and baby bags, but we just hope he's careful up on that ladder."
