EXCLUSIVE: HARRIOTTE LANE, 24 CLAIMS BLUSHING BACHELORS ARE TOO SCARED TO ASK HER OUT ON DATES THANKS TO HER PAGEANT QUEEN LOOKS AND BUSINESS ACUMEN THAT LEAVES MEN QUAKING 16:00, 31 May
2025 A British beauty queen says she's stuck being single because blokes are too intimidated by her looks and jet-setting success to ask her out. Leggy Harriotte Lane claims blushing
bachelors are too scared to ask her out on dates thanks to her pageant queen looks and business acumen. The 24-year-old strawberry blonde conceded that despite fellas her age lacking the
confidence, she's happily single for now and enjoying the jet-set lifestyle she's built for herself. Harriotte, who runs her own successful pageant coaching company Crown Coach,
has just been announced as Miss Grand United Kingdom to compete in Miss Grand International in Bangkok, Thailand, later this year. A gruelling three-week gauntlet of interviews and
challenges will see the stunning 6ft model demonstrate she's not just beauty, but brains too and slug it out against other competitors. Harriotte, from Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, said:
"I think because I'm a beauty queen and successful it puts guys my age off from approaching me. Article continues below "I'm ok with that because I know that someone
coming into my life will only be someone who will add [something] and is successful. "Whether it's friends or a partner coming into my life - they need to be adding value and be
very confident. "I know the right person who's my match will come at the right time but at the moment I'm very happy travelling the world and focusing on what I have."
Business owner Harriotte, who's scooped multiple beauty pageant crowns over the years, said she's passionate about promoting the industry that she credits for empowering women.
Harriotte said: "I started out as a shy girl, not fitting into society with few friends and pageantry has given me the opportunity to find women who are focused and driven. "If you
ask 'is it a competitive environment?' Quite the opposite actually. most of the women become life-long friends. "If I look at the circle I'm in, I've probably
competed with them for the same title. It's not about being against each other, it's actually about being a better version of yourself. "I've been able to travel the
world, do humanitarian work and actually live a life that people would genuinely only get to dream of. "Although I love watching TV shows and films about pageantry, like Miss
Congeniality, it's not a true reflection. "Like most things on TV it's great TV but pageantry is quite the opposite." As a proud northern lass, Harriotte hopes to inspire
others across the UK that they can achieve their dreams - as she is with Miss Grand International. Harriotte said: "As someone who is brought up in a working family household I hope to
inspire the girls to think 'can I travel the world? Can I start my own business at such a young age?' Article continues below "Yes you can. You don't have to come from
the capital to achieve extraordinary things. I'm very proud to be representing Newcastle. "One of the main messages [of the competition] is body, brain, beauty and business.
"They're looking for someone who is an all-rounder. They're not just something beautiful, there's so much more substance to them."
