AN AMERICAN MAN WHO IS CURRENTLY LIVING IN THE UK HAS BEEN TRYING OUT SOME BRITISH FOODS, INCLUDING A SELECTION OF BAKES FROM GREGGS - BUT HIS USE OF TERMINOLOGY HAS LEFT BRITS FEELING

CONFUSED 14:09, 30 May 2025 Greggs is an absolute favourite among Brits, with many people raving about its wallet-friendly food and array of comfort grub, not least the legendary sausage

roll. When tourists land on Britain's shores, they often come to sample the bakery giant's delights, with high expectations in tow. Recently, American foodie Russell had been

tucking into an array of British treats, from the classic supermarket meal deals to local specialities. Yet, it's his Greggs taste test that's caused a stir among the Brits.

Russell, who posted under @redbusruss on TikTok, snapped himself up a Cheese and Onion Bake, Chicken Bake, Steak Bake and the iconic Sausage Roll. But it was his American twist of swapping

'pastry' for 'bread', that really made Brit's annoyed. Kicking off with the Cheese and Onion Bake, Russell said it had a "nice, creamy filling" and praised

the "bread", adding it was "nice and flaky". "I really enjoyed that, it was decently filling," he enthused, giving it a seven out of 10 on it. He then ate the

Chicken Bake, which he reckoned felt like a "good chicken pot pie", lauding: "The flakiness of the bread and the creamy chicken filling is really satisfying". Although,

he did reckon it could do with a few more chunks of chicken. READ MORE: Aldi trolls McDonald's over breakfast cut-off time with epic free food stuntREAD MORE: Brits' favourite

reckoned the Steak Bake was "really not bad" and was chuffed with the hefty amount of "actual steak" tucked inside. He described it as "It's like a good steak

and gravy dinner inside a flaky pastry," and rated it a solid 7.5 out of 10. Then he tucked into the Sausage Roll, which he dubbed the "most spoken about" baked treat

he's ever come across. "I see why people like them," he began. "That sausage filling really isn't too bad," he went on. Despite being "decently

seasoned," it didn't quite knock his socks off. Still, finding it "enjoyable and easy to eat", he give out a seven out of 10 score. In the comments, Brits were surprised

over Russell's choice of words. One user posted: "Calling it bread is triggering me, but I'll let it slide because you are one of the few people to give a good, honest review

lmao." Another chimed in: "BREAD! ? ? ? I work for Greggs mate and it is not bread." While a third remarked: "It's not bread dude: it's pastry." Some users

were having none of his ratings. A cheeky comment read: "7.5 for a steak bake is scandalous," and another said: "Chicken bake is stupendous." Another said: "How can

you score below 10? it's Greggs!" Article continues below One joked: "Steak bake getting only a 7.5 makes me seriously consider your judgement. Absolutely no respect".

Others suggested he should have sampled the Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt instead. "Glad you enjoyed them," someone else piped up, keeping the banter friendly.
