THE 69-YEAR-OLD MAN, WHO ARRIVED TO THE COP SHOP IN STYLE, HAD A BLOOD ALCOHOL READING OF A WHOPPING 1.3% AND A LIFETIME BAN ON OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLES BECAUSE OF HIS PENCHANT FOR
DRINK-DRIVING 19:39, 28 May 2025 A boozed-up bloke turned up at a police station in a horse and cart, after being hauled off the roads for drink-driving. CCTV footage captured the
69-year-old man pulling into the precinct car park own his unusual mode of transport on Sunday, May 25, in the evening. While sat in a carriage pulled by two horses, the man waved as he
drove slowly by the station, located in Poddębice, in Warsaw Poland. However, as he turned to rejoin the road, an officer dashed out of the building and gave chase. After stopping the
driver, the cop noticed the pungent stench of alcohol coming from the man as he carried out a police check, reports NeedToKnow. A breathalyser test revealed the man’s a blood alcohol reading
of more than 1.3% - well over Poland’s legal drink drive limit of 0.02%. The man, who lives in Poddębice is well-known to police. Having been busted multiple times for drink-driving, he is
now under a lifetime ban from operating motor vehicles. Police confirmed he will once again step inside a court for his latest efforts. A spokesperson for the Poddębice County Police
Headquarters said: “Regardless of your means of transport, you are legally required to stay sober and follow the rules of the road. “Not having a driving licence does not entitle anyone to
seek ‘alternative’ modes of travel - especially while intoxicated. “Even operating a horse-drawn carriage demands full awareness and responsibility. “We urge everyone to act with caution,
common sense, and respect for road safety - for your own sake and the safety of others.” Earlier this year, a man was convicted for drink-driving a drone around his town. The drunken man was
flying his toy around a classic car event when annoyed police arrested him for being a drunken nuisance. The 55-year-old was convicted in what is thought to be the first case of its kind.
Police spotted the flying drone while flying their own over the public event to keep an eye. They said a temporary no fly zone had been put in place for safety of the event which was taking
place in Rattvik, in Sweden. Meanwhile, in an ironic turn of events, the man who helped design breathalysers faced court after he crashed his car after “misjudging” how much he had to drink
at lunch. Retired scientist Dr Richard Lacey said he had a “couple of glasses of wine with lunch and a few pints of beer”. His breath measured 41 micrograms, surpassing the legal limit of
35. Article continues below He told the court: "I've really got nothing to say. I misjudged how much I'd drunk." _FOR THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS AND STORIES FROM ACROSS THE
