THIS MORNING PRESENTER BEN SHEPHARD HAS SPOKEN ABOUT HIS INCREDIBLE BODY TRANSFORMATION AND WHY HE DECIDED TO FOCUS ON GETTING IN SHAPE WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER 14:49, 20 May 2025 Ben Shephard

has revealed the details behind his remarkable body transformation and discussed his dedication to fitness in his youth. The 50-year-old presenter of This Morning is featured on the front

page of June's issue of Men's Health, where he showcases his impressive physique. In a candid interview for the magazine, Ben reflects on turning 50 last December and offers

insight into his approach to staying fit. He humorously admitted that his lifestyle overhaul and physical change were prompted by an unflattering comparison to Mike Reid's EastEnders

character, Frank Butcher. "I looked a bit more like Frank Butcher than I thought I should have at that stage of life," he quipped. "No one said anything at the time – it was

way before social media. But I knew it was a moment to catch myself. I had to get back on it." Ben, a firm favourite on television, emphasised how he has consistently been

"outcome-focused" during his fitness endeavours, expressing the immense sense of accomplishment he feels upon finishing a particularly tough workout, reports Wales Online. Article

glass of water when you finish. But you only get that once you've finished the bit in the middle," he explained. Ben also disclosed that his exercise routine has spurred some

healthy competition between him and his two sons, Sam and Jack. He shared how he's "really enjoyed" showing his sons, whom he shares with wife Annie, that he can

"compete" with them, with the trio all relishing their joint training sessions. The proud father also mentioned how he's "inspired" his two teenage sons by working

out hard, especially his eldest son, Sam, 19. In other news, Ben reflected on how his body has changed since his last Men's Health cover in 2012, which motivated his most recent cover.

He disclosed that while he believes his body fat percentage is higher now, he is more "lean muscle." He also credits his physique to "consistency" rather than a single

specific exercise. _THE FULL INTERVIEW IS AVAILABLE IN THE JUNE ISSUE OF MEN'S HEALTH UK, ON SALE NOW._ Article continues below _THIS MORNING AIRS ON WEEKDAYS AT 10AM ON ITV1_
