LIONS STAR ANDREW SHINNIE HOPES HE AND HIS BROTHER GRAEME CAN PULL OFF SOME BIG RESULTS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS 06:00, 22 May 2025 Livingston star Andrew Shinnie is hoping for double delight
over the next week as he and his brother Graeme go for glory. While Andrew stars for the Lions in the Premiership play-off final against Ross County over the course of tonight and Monday,
Aberdeen ace Graeme is hoping to lift the Scottish Cup in between all of that when the Dons tackle treble-chasing Celtic at Hampden on Saturday. It is a huge week for the Shinnie siblings as
Andrew aims to guide the Lions straight back to the top flight, while his younger brother aims to earn Jimmy Thelin's side a first Scottish Cup win since 1990. And Andrew, 35, said:
"It is a big one for the family. We are both trying to achieve really good things, but we have both got really difficult ties ahead. "It is going to be difficult for us playing a
Premiership team in the play-offs and Graeme has obviously got a high-flying Celtic team in the final. "But I'd say we've both got a chance of doing something really special
and it could be a really great week. "I want my brother to be successful and I'd love for him to lift the cup and see Aberdeen do it. "It would be great for the city and great
for Graeme. It is going to be difficult. He has actually been in quite a few finals against Brendan Rodgers teams and they are always very difficult games. "I think people think it is
a foregone conclusion but Aberdeen have good players and they can turn up on the day and lift the cup." Andrew is out of contract with the Lions after the play-offs have played out and
while he hopes that ends with Livi back in the top flight, he admits he would be open to extending his stay further after joining the Lions back in 2021. He added: "I have thoroughly
enjoyed my time here and I have a great relationship with the manager and many people here. "There is a lot of football to be played, I don't know what division we will be in, but
if there is a conversation to be had, I would be delighted to have one. "But I won't focus on that until these two play-off games are over. Article continues below "When you
get older, you kind of go year to year and see what is out there for you. I think players can play a bit longer now and they are certainly a bit fitter. They look after themselves more,
which I certainly do, and I will be looking forward to what the future holds." READ MORE: Livingston v Ross County: We'd rather be on beach but play-off chance is exciting, says
