POSTECOGLOU IS A SELF-PROFESSED 'SERIAL WINNER' AND NOT EVEN HIS HARSHEST CRITICS CAN ARGUE WITH THAT NOW AFTER WINNING THE EUROPA LEAGUE 10:04, 22 May 2025Updated 11:55, 22 May

2025 A merciless radio bulletin that loves a smug Ange Postecoglou takedown was forced to take their medicine after Tottenham's Europa League win. But the Spurs boss was still

sarcastically congratulated for being 'less awful than Manchester United.' The former Celtic gaffer got the almighty last laugh last night when his side beat United to lift the

Europa League trophy in Bilbao – delivering on his promise that he ALWAYS wins something in his second year at a club. They've had a dismal Premier League season, but their first trophy

in 17 years – which comes with the cherry on the cake of Champions League football next season – more than makes up for that in the eyes of long-suffering fans. talkSPORT's

pre-recorded YouTube bulletins haven't been shy to take a dig at Postecoglou this season. Back in February he was openly mocked on the segment and told to 'stop playing bad

football.' But the same presenter wasn't so hostile this morning as they said: "Turns out Postecoglou does win trophies in his second season in charge, and not even Spurs can

stop him. A season to forget becomes a season to celebrate for the club. Ange must be feeling pretty smug!" Then rolled a clip from Postecoglou's post-match press conference where

the triumphant boss said: "Mate, I'm a winner. I've been a serial winner my whole career, it's what I've done more than anything else. I know people dismiss my

achievements because they didn't happen to happen on this side of the world but for me they're all hard-earned. All I've done my whole career is win." And then it cut

back to the presenter who brutally turned on Ruben Amorim's team, saying: "Turns out you don't have to be that good to win a trophy, you just have to be less awful than Man

Utd." Follow _RECORD SPORT_ on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond. You can
