EMERGENCY CREWS RACED TO A FIRE AFFECTING A CAR, GARAGE AND HOUSE. 17:17, 21 May 2025 A Scots home has burst into flames in a quiet residential area. At around 1pm today (Wednesday, May 21),


the blaze began on King Street in Bathgate. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to reports of a car on fire in a garage on the residential road, reports Edinburgh Live. The


Fire Service confirmed that the ongoing fire has affected a car, a garage and a property. Three fire engines were dispatched and crews remain on the scene as they work to extinguish the


fire. Footage from the scene show plumes of black smoke rising into the air. A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 1pm on Wednesday, May 21


to reports of a car on fire within a garage at King Street, Bathgate. "Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the area and firefighters are working to extinguish a fire


affecting a car, a garage and a house. “Crews remain at the scene.” There are no known casualties at this time. On Saturday, in a separate incident, we reported that firefighters raced to an

circulating online show smoke rising into the Edinburgh sky with plumes visible from a considerable distance. One eye witness believed the fire was situated in a long stay car park at the


capital airport, reports Edinburgh Live. An update from Edinburgh Airport stated the vehicle fire had been extinguished by their on-site fire service and investigation is underway to


establish the nature of the fire. A spokesman for the airport confirmed the incident and noted that the fire had been extinguished. He said: “Our fire service responded to and extinguished a


vehicle fire within one of our car parks. “An investigation is now taking place to determine the cause.” A spokesperson for the SFRS said: “We received reports of a vehicle fire at a car
