CHEF K HAS COOKED FOR THE KARDASHIANS, JENNERS AND A NUMBER OF OTHER CELEBRITIES 11:59, 04 Jun 2025 A renowned chef has revealed a straightforward method to peel garlic, saving you from the
tedious task of peeling it the normal way and getting a lingering smell on your hands. Known as Chef K, Khristianne Uy is famed for her culinary skills, having cooked for celebrities such as
the Kardashians, Jenners, Charlize Theron, Salma Hayek and Justin Bieber. She said a jar is "garlic's best friend" in a video on TikTok. She started by smashing an entire
bulb of garlic with the jar, causing the skin to peel off within seconds. The garlic cloves were then placed in the jar, the lid was secured, and she began shaking the jar. It took mere
seconds to sort. Once the garlic cloves are removed from the jar, they are completely peeled with no skin remaining, she said. Plus, your hands remain free of any garlic odour. However, in
case you do end up with garlic-scented hands, the celebrity chef shared another tip in a separate video: simply cut a lemon in half and rub it on your fingers. Article continues below If you
don't have a lemon available, or if you have a cut that might sting with lemon juice, you can use a "silver spoon," rubbing your hands on the curved part of the spoon,
followed by rinsing your hands. In response to her garlic-peeling trick, one commenter noted that garlic can sometimes taste bitter - but there's a simple solution. Another person
replied in the comments: "Remove the green stem to avoid a bitter taste. I learned this from another chef." Chef K agreed with this advice, responding with several
'clapping' emojis.
