RORY MCILROY IS SET TO RELOCATE TO THE UK WITH HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER AFTER FINALLY ENDING HIS MAJOR DROUGHT WITH HIS MASTERS WIN LAST MONTH AND THE FAMILY ARE SET TO HAVE A LENGTHY LIST OF
FAMOUS NEIGHBOURS. 16:46, 31 May 2025 Fresh off his Masters triumph and achieving the career grand slam, Rory McIlroy is gearing up to move his family to London. The 36- year-old Irish man
ended his long major drought last month by clinching the only major championship missing from his impressive resume, joining a select group of golfers who have won the career grand slam.
This marked a significant milestone for McIlroy, who celebrated the victory by returning to his hometown of Holywood in Northern Ireland to visit his parents. However, before landing in
Belfast, he, his wife Erica Stoll, and their daughter Poppy made a brief pit stop in London in their private jet to check out the Surrey mansion they plan to call home. For several years,
McIlroy and his family have lived in a lavish residence in Jupiter, Florida, an area brimming with ultra-rich golfers, actors, and business tycoons. The sunny Florida weather undoubtedly
suits McIlroy's golfing ambitions, as its climate and facilities allow him to practice year-round. However, the five-time major winner has not hidden his and his wife's desire to
relocate to the UK, having bought a property on the Wentworth Golf Club estate a few years ago, Belfast Live reports. After reportedly splashing out over €10 million on refurbishments to the
Surrey house, the McIlroys are now set to move in next month. In doing so, they will join a lengthy roster of famous faces who have opted to live in an area renowned for its exclusivity. In
the elite circles of golf, McIlroy is set to rub shoulders with neighbours such as South African icon Ernie Els and ex-Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn. Fellow Irishman Paul McGinley has digs
in nearby Sunningdale, joined by another Ryder Cup veteran, Sam Torrance. Justin Rose, whom McIlroy outplayed in a playoff to clinch the Masters, also calls this posh locale home.
Ex-Chelsea captain and keen golfer John Terry is situated near Wentworth, along with former England cricketer and fellow golf enthusiast Kevin Pietersen. Previously, F1 legend Eddie Jordan
and Ukrainian football star Andriy Shevchenko also had residences in the vicinity. McIlroy's notable future neighbours will include Wentworth Estate resident Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal
Bolkiah, and Russian tycoon Petr Aven. Tullow Oil's founding father Aidan Heavey also stakes claim to a property within the estate. The opulent Wentworth with its prime London access
and proximity to international travel hubs has become a magnet for many diverse high-profile personalities. _JOIN THE_ _DAILY RECORD'S WHATSAPP COMMUNITY HERE _A_ND GET THE LATEST NEWS

Augusto Pinochet, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and television royalty Michael Parkinson. Article continues below However, the desire to stay in such affluent neighbourhoods
isn't for all celebs, as singer Gary Numan shared with Uncut music magazine in 2019: "I had a big neo-Georgian house on Wentworth golf course, but I was convinced it was haunted.
"Some weird s*** had been going on – I'd come home and the house was in darkness when I was convinced I'd left the lights on. "So one day, I made a point of turning on
every single light in the house. I got back from the studio and – f*** me – the house was in total darkness."
