THE SCHOOLGIRL HAS BEEN RUSHED TO THE ROYAL HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN IN GLASGOW. 19:10, 20 May 2025 An Ayrshire road remains closed this evening after a car and an 11-year-old girl were
involved in a crash. Emergency services were scrambled to Middleton Road in Irvine at around 5pm. Police say that the youngster has been rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow
for treatment. The extent of the schoolgirl's injuries have not been disclosed by officials. The driver of the car was not injured in the incident. Police have confirmed that the road
is closed from Bensley Rise to Burns Crescent and drivers have been urged to avoid the area. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Middleton Road in Irvine is closed after a crash
involving a car and an 11-year-old child. "Around 5pm we received a report of a collision and the girl was taken to Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment. The driver of
