Anya Taylor-Joy has won rave reviews for her performance in The Queen's Gambit and the series has added £500,000 to her bank balance. The actress, 24, portrays chess prodigy Beth Harmon

in the Netflix series which earned her a Golden Globe for Best Actress at this year's ceremony. In accounts seen by The Sun, books filed for her firm Scarlett Joy Ltd show the TV star

has cash reserves of £645,412 for 2020, up from £148,477 from 2019.  The accounts show Anya also paid £97,300 to The Treasury in Corporation Tax, meaning she earned over £500,000 in the 12

months ending in March 2020. After debts to creditors are paid off, the actress is still left with £535,103.   RELATED ARTICLES MailOnline has contacted a representative for Anya Taylor-Joy

for comment.  It comes after Anya admitted she probably won't grasp the success of her critically acclaimed role in The Queen's Gambit 'for about five years'. Gracing the

cover of Vanity Fair's April issue, the star said she knew she had to give 'so much of herself' to the character of Beth after reading Walter Tevis' 1983 novel. During

the interview, Anya was tight-lipped on details surrounding her next Hollywood role, in an untitled film directed by David O. Russell. She said: 'We used to joke on set that we were

bringing sexy back to chess.  'We didn't really think that that's what people would actually think. I don't think you can be an even kind of sane person and be walking

around, like, I have reinvigorated the game of chess!'    Despite it being several months since the programme was released, Anya admitted she's still in disbelief about its

success. She said: 'I think I'll probably understand this year in about five years. I think that's when it will probably hit. 'The second I closed the book, it was this

dawning of, I'm going to have to give this character so much of myself in order to tell the story right.' Anya is currently in the midst of filming O. Russell's first film

since 2015's Joy, with details about the picture, including its title, being kept strictly under wraps. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John

David Washington and Robert De Niro. Unsurprisingly Anya was tight-lipped on details around the film, but did admit that even after several years in Hollywood she struggles to hide her

excitement at meeting some of the industry's biggest stars. She said: 'The movie has been very secretive to all of us as well. And so suddenly you hear these names and you

can't really… But you hear these titans of cinema and I'm just like, I am a child! I am a baby. This is insane.'
