LAST YEAR OF HIS CONTRACT AT THE CLUB Manchester United have omitted Phil Jones and Sergio Romero from their 25-man Premier League squad. Defender Jones and goalkeeper Romero were both also
left out of United's Champions League squad earlier this month after falling out of favour under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Their omissions cast doubt over their long-term future at
Old Trafford. Romero, 33, has entered the last year of his contract and has wanted to leave the club since he was dropped for the Europa League semi-final defeat to Sevilla on August 16.
Jones last played for United in January and has been injured since June but the 28-year-old has a contract until 2023. Before Tuesday's Champions League tie at PSG, Solskjaer declined
to say whether he would consider picking Jones or Romero in the future. 'We've got a squad of 25 to put on the list,' Solskjaer said. 'Phil has been injured. Sergio has
not come back to us yet.' Defender Marcos Rojo, who is back at United following his loan spell with Estudiantes, is included in the squad along with new deadline-day signings Alex
Telles and Edinson Cavani. RELATED ARTICLES SHARE OR COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE: PHIL JONES AND SERGIO ROMERO LEFT OUT OF MANCHESTER UNITED'S 25-MAN PREMIER LEAGUE SQUAD * * * * * * *
