At the back of the diner on Curlewis Street, just one block from the world-famous beachfront, is an old school milk bar that conjures childhood memories of summers past.
ADVERTISEMENT The milk bar can be accessed through a separate window on Gould Street where customers can order $2 soft serve ice cream, $8.90 thickshakes and limited-edition menu items that
will be announced throughout the year.
The new store will also serve up Chargrill Charlie's signature dishes including hero chargrilled chicken, chicken schnitzels, seasonal salads, and hot chips, as well as classic desserts like
homemade apple pie.

regarded as the Harbour City's leading chicken shop - will treat customers to surprises such as free soft serve and picnic pack giveaways.
Terry towelling T-shirts and bucket hats will also be up for grabs, while an in-store DJ will be spinning tunes from local artists each weekend until the end of summer.
Decked out in beachy, bohemian décor and cane furniture, the new store is a perfect representation of the laidback Bondi lifestyle.
Store partner Greg Cohen said opening an outlet beside the beach is a lifelong dream come true.

Mr Cohen said.
'We're so excited to be opening during summer and can't wait to welcome family and friends as they walk off the beach and into our doors to create lasting memories together over good food.'
The Bondi opening is the first of two store launches slated for early 2021, with Beecroft on the Upper North Shore set to follow in the coming weeks.

stores across Sydney and Melbourne, with locations including Annandale, Coogee, Dee Why, Drummoyne, Mona Vale, Mosman, Randwick and Woollahra.
The Coogee store opened its doors in November with a retro menu complete with original prices from 1989.
The chicken chain first first launched more than 30 years ago on the golden shores of Coogee Beach in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Fast forward three decades and the business turned back the clock to where it all began, offering chooks from as little as $3.90.
