Nuneaton's hospital has declared a 'critical incident' over the loss of its telephone service. The George Eliot Hospital has said that it remains fully operational and fully


open. But due to an 'external technical fault affecting a number of other national networks', telephone lines and mobile phones at the 'Eliot are experiencing intermittent


connectivity issues. As a result, it is currently (May 21) some ambulances are being temporarily diverted to local hospitals. "The hospital has declared a critical incident while work

our emergency department if needed and should attend pre-arranged appointments. "To ease pressure on our Emergency Department, some ambulances are being temporarily diverted to local


hospitals. "We apologise for the impact this issue may be having with patients attempting to contact the hospital and we thank them for their patience."
