Locals are calling for double yellow lines to be installed on a Coventry street amid months of 'dangerous manoeuvres'. They say that action is needed on the corner of Broadmere

Rise, off Broad Lane.

Campaigners say that vehicles parked on the corner of Broadmere Rise are blocking the visibility and the positioning of vehicles trying to access the road. They claim some of the motorists

use the nearby vets.

They say claim that issues have increased over the past six months. They say that yellow lines and enforcement are needed to improve 'safety and visibility' for residents.

To try and get the council to take the action they say they need, they have set-up a petition on its website. It reads: "Currently cars are parking on the corner of Broadmere Rise in order

to access to Vets. This is hindering the visibility and positioning of cars turning both on, and off Broad Lane, and in many cases forcing them to try and manoeuvre dangerously into/from a

busy road.

"With yellow lines and enforcement, safety and visibility will be improved for residents. As a result we are asking for the council to look to introduce waiting restrictions, and gain the

necessary Traffic Regulation Order to prohibit parking in this area of the road.

"This petition has been submitted on behalf of residents, following several complaints over the last six months."
