ONLY FOUR IN 10 TRAINS ARE EXPECTED TO BE RUNNING National rail operator SNCF has announced that there will be a ticket inspector strike taking place between Friday and Sunday (December
2-4), affecting the majority of scheduled TGV and Intercités services. SNCF has said that only four in 10 trains will be running on these networks on average. A gradual return to normal will
begin on Monday (December 5), when three in every four scheduled services will be operating. On the TGV Nord network, one in two trains will be running, while on TGV Est it will be one in
three, on TGV Atlantique it will be one in four and on TGV Sud-Est it will be one in three. Only one in four Ouigo trains will be operating as normal, along with one in every two Intercités
services. TGV Lyria trains between France and Switzerland will also be impacted, with two in three services cancelled. One in three France-Italy trains will be running and there will be no
services between France and Spain. Affected passengers with tickets for the weekend should be informed individually. Rail worker unions have called the strike to demand pay rises that would
