THE RECALL SCHEME LASTS UNTIL 2027 A product recall is underway in France for a popular lawnmower as there is a risk that the blade could detach during use causing injury. The product – a
‘Tondeuse Thermique 56cm’ by the brand Sterwins – was sold across France at Leroy Merlin and Weldom stores. It was sold between April 2023 and October 2024. There is a potential issue with
the drive shaft ‘that could lead to the ejection of the blade’ of the mower during use, states official product recall site RappelConso. Use of the lawnmower is not recommended. The
affected product’s model number is PLM3-56Z200.6 and its GTIN 3276007453294. All lots are affected. Owners can return the lawnmower to the place of purchase for a refund, exchange, or
repair. There is also a helpline available at 0 (+33) 8 00 10 02 61. The exact form of compensation is yet to be determined, states RappelConso, however the recall is set to last until June
2027. More information can be found on the official recall website. Read more: Do sit-on lawnmowers require insurance in France?
