Birkin, who died on Sunday aged 76, according to BFMTV. Around 4am on Wednesday (July 19), a childhood friend of Birkin’s - currently staying at the home - heard noises from the main door,


before quickly calling the police. When they arrived, the police found signs of an attempted entry near the door, alongside pieces of wood from the door on the floor and damage to its metal


frame. The day before, neighbours had already intervened and frightened off a group of individuals looking to enter the home. Security measures have been installed at the singer’s home in


Finistère, by the local prefecture, including the presence of police and gendarmes outside the house. The house in Brittany was owned by the singer for more than 30 years and was where she
