IN RESPONSE TO THE NEW MR RUDE HAVING A FRENCH ACCENT. Regarding your piece in March on Channel 5 and Mr Rude being given a French accent, I would like to suggest several new British


characters for their Mr Men series. We could have Mr Binge-drinker, Mr Football Hooligan, Mr Yobo, Mr Knife-waving Druggie, or Mr Gun-toter. These new characters could give children an idea


of why so many people choose to live in France where, in my experience, people are much more polite than in Britain and where I have not experienced any examples of rudeness in eight years.
