Américain de Deauville. The actress, who has had a string of leading roles since becoming famous in Manon des Sources (1986) heads a team of 10. They will judge 12 films in the main


competition, eight of which are directors’ first films this year. The festival celebrates American movies of all kinds, but is noted for discovering new talent. Director Terry Gilliam is
