PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO SEE RHODODENDRONS, AZALEAS, ACERS AND MAGNOLIAS ON DISPLAY AT ETAL MANOR WHICH IS USUALLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC 13:15, 22 May 2025Updated 06:57, 24 May 2025 The public
will be given a 'rare opportunity' to explore the woodland of a Northumberland manor next month. Normally closed to the public, Etal Manor's expansive ten-acre woodland garden
will open on June 15. The garden, which has been managed by the Joicey family since 1910, has an acid soil. This tough growing environment suits rhododendrons and azaleas, acers, magnolias
and many other plant species. The rhododendrons should be looking spectacular and in full bloom, weather permitting. There will be homemade teas served and the Berwick Concert Band will
perform, as well as a plant stall and a craft stall for visitors to purchase gifts to take home. The gardens will be open from 1pm and will close at 4pm. Adult entry costs £6, while children
under 12 can enter free of charge. Dogs on leads are welcome, but there is limited access for wheelchairs. All the proceeds from this special event will go to HospiceCare North
Northumberland. The June date is the charity’s 30th anniversary and Lady Joicey is its patron. Article continues below JOIN OUR NORTHUMBERLAND WHATSAPP COMMUNITY Join our Northumberland
