TADKA, FORMERLY THALI TRAY, IS LISTED AS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND THE UNIT ON GOLDSPINK LANE IN SANDYFORD IS AVAILABLE TO LET 15:27, 01 Jun 2025 A once-popular Newcastle restaurant which

reopened in March "against all the odds" has suddenly closed its doors. Thali Tray announced in February that it would be closing both its sites on Goldspink Lane in Sandyford and

at Bealim House in Newcastle city centre, the latter of which ceased trading immediately. However, after an "outpouring of support", its owners decided to give the Sandyford

location one last roll of the dice, and it reopened as Tadka in March. A little over two months later and it appears to have closed its doors for good. A sign in the window says

"goodbye & thank you" and a large 'To Let' sign hangs above the entrance. Companies House shows that TT Newcastle Limited was wound up voluntarily on May 14, 2025 and

liquidators were appointed on the same date. Tadka is now listed as permanently closed on Google. Article continues below However, Tadka's social media pages remain active and no

details of the restaurant's closure have been posted, with the last post on May 27 advertising a special dish. ChronicleLive has attempted to contact the owners of Thali Tray/Tadka for
